APPLICATION EXCAVATION 2010
Argilos 2009 excavation campaign was a great success with many very interesting finds, including rich deposits and the discovery of new well preserved buildings.
We have thus decided to have two excavation sessions in the summer of 2010, each one of 4 weeks. Only 25 students will be accepted for each session. Work will concentrate on the Acropolis and in the Southeast sector of the site.
Each field session combines three components:
1. Theoretical: lectures and workshops.
2. Practical: methodology and techniques of excavation, work on the site and at the museum, cleaning and cataloging of artefacts, documentation, etc.
3. Discovery: excursions organized to various archaeological sites and museums in the region.

Minimum 19 years of age. |

| Qualifications: |
No previous experience necessary but good physical condition. |

| Work: |
Students participate to all aspects of the archaeological process, including museum study, assisted by trained professionals. | |

English, French and Greek (this is a multilingual excavation!) | |
| Accomodation: |
Students share rented apartments, each with kitchen and washroom, situated in the nearby village of Asprovalta. |

| Cost: |
Full 4 week session $3200 CAD. This includes food and accommodation and weekend visits to various archaeological sites and museums in the area. The price does not include airfare to Greece. |
